Sounds like Lloyd to me. I'd guess Buddy Spicher on fiddle and Charlie McCoy on harmonica. Don't know who the singer is. I ruled out Jones and Paycheck pretty quick.

Yes, the steel player is Hal Rugg, the singer is Jack Reno who only had a few minor chart hits, "Hitchin' A Ride" being one of them (#12 in 1971).
