YES, INDEED, i THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE SOME-ONE POST A CLIP OF SPEEDY, POSSIBLY FROM A CONVENTION OR BIG STEEL GUITAR SHOW; WHICH HE OFTEN ATTENDED, I UNDERSTAND. DOES ANYONE HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER, ALONG THESE LINES.. THANK YOU KINDLY..BERNIE :lol: :whoa: :) :D

Speedy West,

He was my friend and before moving to California lived and owned a farm at Strafford, MO just ten miles west of where I live now.

Scotty sells a Video tape of Speedy West that covers a 5 year period of Speedy playing the big Steel Guitar Show at St. Louis. Bobby Caldwell is on the video as is the late and great Wade Ray. I highly recommend that you get a copy of that from Scotty. It is well worth the cost of the video and will keep you laughing and entertained for hours. For those who will never see him live this is the best there is on Speedy West.

Speedy West burns up his BMI Zane Beck Steels on this video. You can see what a real master showman he was. Not to take away anything from the comedy and showmanship of those today, but before alot of these guys today, Speedy was doing alot of clowning and cool stuff. He could keep you thouroughly entertained and laughing.

I miss him dearly.

Yes, there are a good bunch of those Tennessee Ernie Ford songs with Speedy West on it.
