Someone To Give My Love To Jeff Newman on YouTube
Ok, here it is. The most requested player since I started posting videos.
While you are watching, think if you need to order some steel guitar instruction. If so, here's Fran's address:

And here's what you are waiting for:

Our Beloved " JEFF NEWMAN"
Bill and Fran..Thanks so much in advance, for allowing Bill to post a couple of Jeff's recordings. We can't wait to see them; I'll never forget the times that I spent in Jeff's company, at a couple of his Seminars, over in Mass. He was the greatest steel guitar teacher; God Bless his soul.. You're in our prayers, Fran.. Thanx again, you too, Bill..Bernie

Jeff Newman Teaching Aids
Bill: Would you kindly post Fran's Web Site Address; I'm interested in one of their E-9th Courses. I often had desired to attend Jeff's Steel Guitar School there in Nashville; Couldn't afford to, at the time; Did get to take a couple of his seminars, when he was on the road. Was so educational; he was the only Steel Guitar Instuctor that I had the pleasure of working with. And was a great person, to top it off.. Thanks, Bill, for your help..Bernie

Jeff Newman Long Awaited Video
Bill; I had forgotten how great this man sounded, when behind any make of Steel. This rendition of his master-piece is sensational; Loved that beginning with only riffs which Jeff could produce, with all his inovations of making the steel guitar sound like the most grand instrument, ever placed on our continent or any other . A mighty fine selection, Bill.. Keep them coming; And many thanks to Fran for sharing it with all we forumites..May The Good Lord Be With Her, Always..Bernie

Thanks for posting this Bill. I took one of Jeff's seminars in Yakima Washington in the late 70's. He did this song and it just blew me away as I was just trying to learn the E 9th. I drove my wife crazy for a year learning this song and a few others of his, but it got me started. By the way, in case you can't tell, he is pulling the 7th string F# with his finger to the left of the roller bridge. To this day I have to put tape around that string otherwise it hurty my finger. (ouch) Good memories.

I think of Jeff ever so often while airborne. We used to talk about flying more that we did steel at the conventions. He is sorely missed.

Great video of a GREAT man! Listen to the lick that Jeff plays from 1:53-1:56. He used it alot, and in his seminars that I attended he would throw that lick in there and watch us panic & struggle to copy it. He would grin as if to say "this is MY lick...good luck copying it"!
I've never seen that lick tabbed out in his materials and just can't seem to copy it.
I hope that more videos of Jeff's performances can be posted.
