One of the bands I play in got a New Year's Eve gig in a small bar in a dinky little one horse town in the middle of nowhere. Two things went wrong at that gig. I couldn't bring my PSG along because there was no room to set it up, and I became seriously ill after our performance. Other than that, things went fairly well.

We played at Weimar Texas Veterans Memorial Hall/Firemans Benefit. The job was clean, no smoking, packed with 500+, and most excellent money. We stayed at the local Super 8 instead of competing with the drunks! Image

....(Jody)..With my luck,I got ill and had to be taken to the ER at New York Hospital. I took ill after the first set.....

That's a bummer Jody, I hope you have recovered...those grass skirts would have been too much for my heart too!

Earlier in the evening on the news I heard a lady spokesperson from the Waldorf telling of their plans for the evening..why didn't you "tip" her so she would have mentioned you..I might have come to see you play instead of going to bed at 10:30. Image

We played the local Elks club here in Albert Lea. This is the third year in a row. Had a great time. Keyboards, Bass, Steel, Drums, fiddle, lead & rythum guitar. Six vocalists. Lots of "Classic" Country!
