Hmm..
Anonymizers, Anonymous "repeaters", PGP encryption, and the existence of all kinds of anonymous file sharing programs, networks and/or services keeps those with a desire to post, inform, misinform, or otherwise detract from the "Subject at Hand" nearly totally free to do so. Existing free technology allowed Serbians and Albanians to send messages undetectably under the threat of death by people that have far more advanced computer systems than the bunch of us. It's not really that regulated folks. I doubt that the Internet Polizi or John Ashcroft's Jackbooted Thugs are going to drop what they are doing to bust down the door on a New Zealand Sheep Farm and drag off some toothless freckle faced kid that's relaying messages unknowingly. I hope the Attorney General of WA State doesn't drop my 17,000$ prevailing wage lawsuit in the meantime...
There are many more places for "them" to hide, than for "us".
Maybe, the only diference is that "they" cannot really be involved in "Our Thing", and "we" really only have a passing interest in "theirs".
I have been involved with "socio-political" boards to the point where lawsuits, death threats, personal info divulgence, agency involvement, board security format changes, and otherwise "intriguing diversions" have ruined all discourse.
Sheesh... Now Old Ray's gone over some Speedy West or whatever BS.. Bret's not getting his questions answered, and Reece stopped giving us info on his new Steel Guitars. Hell Larry Behm's probably looking at the Sports Illustrated Calender exchange, and Doug might never find out how to recompensate his fourteen hole counter-compensator bell crank.
Hmmm....
Can't we all jus...... ( naaawwww)

Spam Away, I say..
As an Aside, I'm wondering more about who has the "Last Sho~Bud" than who has the First One....
Maybe ask me how my week's gone.....

Hey guys, I'm not so sure the SPAM originator got the addresses from this site. I received it twice. Once on my email listed here and once on my email at work. How would he get that? Had to be from some other source like steel guitarist on line or maybe from several sites. Who knows! I get gobs of SPAM everyday. One thing that helps is to open a bogus acc't. Whenever you go to a site that requires you to plug in an email address, just put in the bogus email. Then go to that bogus acc't and dump the mail a couple times a week. It's cut down on the crap I get on my real acc't.

Those of you who get a lot of SPAM might want to check out this link http://www.mailwasher.net/ We use it at home and it has greatly reduced the amount of SPAM we get. It has some great features for bouncing, blacklisting etc...

I wonder if anyone remembers all the "good-things" that MSA has done for the steel guitar world? I do! Every time the company has flourished,it has raised the standard for other manufacturers. Doesn't every company (like its' customers)have its' shortcomings? When the human race becomes perfect,we will then have perfect companies...maybe. When I received this controversial bit of e-Mail,I promptly put it where it belongs, the Trash Bin.
Back when Dekley was a flourishing company,
I ordered a new steel. After months passed, past the proposed shipping date, I was apalled to find out that one of the company's representatives had sold my steel
because another friend had said I didn't want it! Sure I was agitated at first, but it was all a misunderstanding which Dekley quickly rectified by building me a fine instrument which just wouldn't wear out.
Do I condemn an entire company, full of fine people, because of the rash behavior of one individual;of course not. One or two unfortunate incidents should not negate the positive efforts of an entire group of good people, and won't,unless others buy into the
negative forces at work! Guess I'll dismount my soapbox now.~~W.C.~~
