As stated in my original message, "Does anyone know where I might find this list?"

I'm starting a new one while this thread goes on.

I,m not there to sell toothpaste. Besides, with a screeching fiddle on my left,a wide opentreble guitar on my right, and a drummer with smash to smitherines cymbals in back of me, you expect me to smile.

When our band is doing well, and it is not my turn to play, I smile and occasionally wave to the folks as they dance by the bandstand. I wish I could get the rest of my frowning band to smile (actually they do), we have a blast some nights. It does help the crowd to relate to the band...and a lot of those dancers are our friends. Tell 'em you're not smiling because you're beta-testing the new sphincter volume controller and if you smile, it gets too loud. (Then watch the expression on their face as they move away slowly from the stage area.) Image

Johnny Gimble, the great fiddler, anyone ever seen him ~~~ not smile? Makes that fiddle sound even sweeter than it is. It should work one the steel also. Image

Sometimes I break wind on stage. That could be really embarrasing but when I realize that the band is too loud for anyone to hear it...I smile real big! Image

Wayne, if you're talking all bark and no bite, then a real big smile is certainly justified. If some collateral damage starts to set in especially during a ballad, a real big smile might indicate that you were the author of that note. Image

It may be that we have that hold our breath "Steel Face" instead of a smile because we are anticipating the 3rd string breaking and we are concentrating in advance on two things;
1) we don't want the string to break
2) How the Heck will we finish the lick when it does break

Now I ask you, how could we smile with this on our minds?
