Thank you very much for the compliments, Tyler. If you are in the Meridian area anytime, feel free to drop by our facilities at Peavey.

Anyone trying 6 string guitars through the NV 1000 or 112 should try using the Black Box. You will be amazed. IMHO, the two togeather are the best.

way too subjective...

This 112 conversation is just way too subjective..

These are very nice amps for there intended purpose..but the primary purpose is NOT to replace the N1000..it's in addition to for a smaller venue situation...not instead of...

Concerning Tele tone..if you know what you are looking for and have found it..Don't
try to re-find it with the 112...or any other amp..

style, picking technique, execution etc..all come into the equation...

Of all the Peavey amps I own or have owned, the only ones that have come close for me are the Session 400 and the Bandit 65..

I play Tele's with no picks so for me there is a dramatic difference in front end amp response..

Neither the N400, N1000 or Session 400 Limited come close..way too sterile for me...

My opinion, not that anyone is asking..

One should start with a Tele tone you like before you add any effects...

If it's a Tele/Steel night , it's one of the Peaveys ( session 400 first choice) and the Fender Hot Rod Deville...or one of my bandmates Peavey Classic 50's..which are great amps too...

well..so much for me..

Rick,
I use a Nashville 112 for my Fender Stringmaster, Stringmaster S-8 and GeorgeBoards and it works great. I have also used it for my Gretsch CG. Granted I am not much of a guitar player but it beats carring two amps. The overall performance is the best I have had. The A/B switch is the best idea.

Yeah, about the two amps thing. I'm too lazy to carry two amps, and if I did carry two amps, they'd be steel amps not a steel and a lead amp. On most of the jobs I get, I play guitar on less than 5 songs, so why carry another amp? If I get to setup at one place for a while I use two, but that don't happen very often. Sometimes I play at a dance and I get harped at for playing too loud with one 112! Image
