Hey Drew, congrats. Groovy lookin' amp.
I use a Twin at home for practice (one of the feared and dreaded 'red knob' models) and I love it. If I use a transistor amp to practice, I waste most of my time twisting knobs, trying to get it to sound like the Twin. I also love using it for small band, and small room gigs.
However, if I do a big room, with a big, loud, electric band, it doesn't cut through the din as well as a transistor amp. Maybe those obnoxious honky midrange which I dislike in the transistor amps is the thing that cuts through the band like a knife ? I've tried them back to back, and that's what happened. It's not just a volume thing, as the red knob is 100 tube watts. Hmm.
