Well, just goes to show that if you wait a couple of days something new will pop up. I know nothing at all about this one----

Mike,
Those old Fender tube reverbs are fantastic,
but the last time I tried one (a long time ago)
it added quite a bit of noise. This is mainly
because the front end of your amp is now
amplifying all the circuitry associated with
that reverb unit. Somehow the folks at
Songworks designed a super quiet circuit that
is equal in quality to the old Fender reverbs.
If you can...just give one a try. You'll
be amazed how nice it sounds.

Well, like always, you guys come through with a lot of discussion and recommendations. I went to the website that Jay suggested and took a listen to the demo on the Little Lanilei. Sounds pretty darn good. Seems to have a really good, quite natural reverb sound to it. I would like to try one out before purchasing, but I am not sure if any dealer here has one. I didn't even find them on Musicians Friend page. One guy on eBay claims they are made by one guy, one at a time and that delivery is slow. That is not a problem for me, I can wait. I always loved that vintage Fender reverb sound, and in a stomp box that I can carry in my pack a seat is appealing, since I don't have any other rack equiptment. Everybody has been very helpful, but for my needs right now, I think the Little Lanilei would be the first thing I would like to try, then if that doesn't pan out, on to something else.

George,
Here's a short sample of the Little Lanilei
I made some months ago.

Yeah, Jay. That sounds like what I might be looking for. You don't really notice it, except if you take it away. That is what I want. I don't want the reverb to be an effect and I guess the digital stuff just doesn't ring right in my ears. Even coming through my little computer speakers, I can tell that it has that vintage Fender sound that I had years ago in an old Twin. I am getting excited about trying one out. Thanks for your time in posting this.

George -

I'm with David Phillips on this one - I've got a TC Electronics M300 and it's the best effects unit I've ever used. It is very clean with a smooth, lush sound. I like the fact that it's so easy to setup and manual that comes with it is very well written. For the price, this one is a winner IMHO.

The POD XT does some of the best and most tweakable reverbs I've heard in a guitar effect unit. It's got models of springs, plates, halls, etc.
