My guess is that someday (sooner than you think), you'll have to replace those rechargeable batteries, and then the expense of that exercise will make you wish you hadn't bought the thing in the first place.
Don't know if they still make them, but I used to have a "Mouse" battery amp that kicked ass...most of the buskers in Penn Station use them, and some of those guys get pretty loud.
