That's what it takes. If you think that that's repetitive, play rhythm guitar or bass. ;-)
Joan Baez said that on one occasion she was recording with Chet Atkins. All Chet did was just strum the guitar throughout the first number. After it was finished she said how surprised she was, that she expected the great Chet Atkins to come up with some brilliant guitarwork, but he just strummed. "That's all it needed," he responded. Chet was a great believer in minimalism. You don't need a band full of individualists, all vying for attention; you just need competent, solid backing. :D

thanks Alan. Next session will be CSN's Teach Your Children. I am learning the intro and solo pretty close to what Jerry played. I will post it when it's done. I am really enjoying recording ! btw I love love love Chet Atkins, he is my favorite guitar player :mrgreen:
