I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I loved the picture you sent by email. I hope it’s OK that I post it here on the Forum.

My dad died on January 1 in 1992. He, too, had endured some health issues, and we all knew he was better off. The emptiness sometimes slips its way in, but for the most part, his memory warms me with delight – and sometimes even at times you’d least expect. One of those times is New Years Day.

God bless you as you begin 2012 without your dad. He must have been so very proud of the man you've become.

Sorry About the lost of your father. It's a bad way to end a year and start a new one. Bless you and your family. Bless your dad's soul. May your remeberances of him always be great ones.

I just read about your Dad. I would like to extend my condolences to you. I lost my Dad in 2007. He was my hero, but I know he is in a better place and that one day we will see each other again.

I just want to thank all of you for your wishes, thoughts, and kind support.
Death is a frontier, not an end... but we surely miss them in this life even if we know their suffering is over.
I do think one of the real measures of a person is how badly they are missed.
