Man, Ben's steel work with Neil has been hard-wired in my brain since I was a kid. It's just part of my life soundtrack.

That's some real special music he made.

RIP Ben. Thank you for the beautiful sounds.

Sorry to hear about Ben. I met him in Pa. when we opened for Faron. Ben was a real gentlman.

I did some hanging out with Ben back in the day. I was going through some old photos yesterday and came across this one I snapped in my home in North Hollywood in 1984. It came out so good I thought I'd share it. When I first met him,I said: "Let's talk knee levers" and he replied: "Ain't nothin to talk about". Ben was one of the good ones.

Amen. I talked to him on the phone in May 2009 when Neil was in town. It was a conversation I'll never forget. He had 3+1 for Harvest and everything after. I stand forever in awe.
